What should be there in a Karwa Puja Thali
During earlier times, usually the images of Ganesh and Gauri Mata were made in cow dung. These days, women purchase the idols at the shop. After performing a Ganesh puja, and Gauri aarti, they light an earthen lamp in their thalis. Offerings such as sindhoor, rice and incense sticks are kept in the thali. They hold the thalis in their hands and adore themselves in all nice jewellery and make ups. They sit in rapt attention listening to the Karwa Chauth Vrat Katha.
